Link your Last.fm

Connect your Last.fm account to the bot and unlock scrobble stats, taste comparisons with the group and what's playing right now — all from .l.

Before you start

You need an account registered with the bot. If you don't have one yet, run .create your_username first — without it, .l won't work.

01

Grab your Last.fm username

Open Last.fm and look at your profile URL: last.fm/user/YOUR_USERNAME. That's the exact text — no spaces, exactly as it appears there — the bot will use.
02

Link with .l link

In the group (or in the bot's DM), send:

>.l link your_username

Equivalent aliases: .l set and .l vincular.

03

Confirm with .l np

Play a song on any scrobbling service (Spotify, Apple Music etc. — Last.fm needs to be receiving the scrobble) and run:

>.l np

If the current track (or the last one you played) shows up, the link is working.

04

Set a bot username

Commands that rank or compare you against other people in the group (.l wk, .l taste) only show people with a bot username set — without it, you won't appear in those lists. If you don't have one yet, set it with:

>.changename your_name

Switching accounts later

Run .l link again with the new username — it replaces the previous link, no need to unlink first.

"Last.fm error" when linking

Usually a typo in the username or an extra space. Double-check exactly how it appears in your Last.fm profile URL.

"You don't have a linked Last.fm account"

Shows up on any subcommand (.l stats, .l duo etc.) when step 02 hasn't been done yet for that account.
